Helping Jimmy & Reba Wow Their Guests At Their Stunning Indian Wedding
Jimmy and Reeba needed a very large space to host their very large wedding guest list. With nearly 600 friends and family members to seat and feed, they needed a space that was accommodating without feeling too expansive. As luck would have it, the exquisite details and intimate feel of Drexelbrook Catering & Special Event Center fit everything they needed from an Indian wedding venue.
Our Grand Ballroom was decorated with flawless precision by Abhishek Decorators. The stage was adorned with sparklers provided by Synergetic Sound & Lighting, adding to the magical feeling of the space.
As a dhol player led the bride, groom and their wedding party down the Mansion Steps after their private cocktail hour, they met the rest of their guests in our Nostalgia Hall for hors d’oeuvres.
Our staff served up a perfect blend of global favorites. At the Pasta Primo station, plates of Cavatelli Pasta were sautéed in Lemon, Butter, White Wine, and Oregano Sauce. A Pad Thai station offered guests Rice Noodles wok-seared to order with Oriental Vegetables, Water Chestnuts, Scallions, and Seared Boneless Chicken, served in a Chinese take-out box with chopsticks. And chefs at our Indian Station served platters of Samosa Chaat and Falafel with four sauces and plenty of spices on the side.
Passed hors d’oeuvres included Ancho Chili-Seared Chicken on Grilled Flatbread with Chipotle Mayo, Tuna Tartare in a Savory Petit Cone, Pulled Pork Tacos with Jack Cheese & Roasted Yellow Pepper Cream, and a Seasonal Soup Shooter.
For the main course, guests received a duet of Atlantic Salmon pan-seared with a Mustard Maple Glaze and Mediterranean Chicken roasted and stuffed with Feta, Prosciutto & Fresh Herbs, sliced and topped with Red Wine Brandy Demi-Glace. For the vegetarians, we prepared a platter of Mutter Paneer & Vegetable Korma with Rice & Naan.
There were plenty of sweet treats to enjoy at the end of the reception. In addition to our International Coffee & Tea Bar and a cake by Sophisticakes, there was an impressive Doughnut Wall set up on each side of the lobby. As if that wasn’t enough to wow the crowd, we also passed around platters of Warm Cookies, Chocolate Mousse Parfaits, S’Mores, Chocolate Dipped Pretzels, Tiramisu, Petit Fours, and Decadent Truffles. Yum!
Congratulations, Jimmy and Reeba, and thank you for letting us be a part of your special day.
