Serving A Delicious Spread At A Gorgeous Garden Wedding
Garden weddings are truly romantic and perfect for September’s sunny and mild weather! Kate and Ralph celebrated their big day in the beautiful outdoors, surrounded by florals, greenery and elegant decor.
Making sure they would have a delectable wedding menu to match, they reached out to Drexelbrook Catering & Special Event Center after hearing testimonials and reading about our award-winning chefs. Our team made sure everything went off without a hitch!
After the beautiful couple tied the knot, guests were led to the residence for cocktail hour on the patio. As soon as everyone arrived, our wait staff passed around platters of light bites including White Bean & Roasted Pepper Bruschetta and Mini Grilled Cheese with Tomato Bisque Shooter.
Making sure there was plenty of food for everyone, we also had stationed hors d’oeuvres. The Pad Thai Station proved to be popular! Our Street Tacos Station was a hit too. Guests could choose between Chicken Tinga and Pork Carnitas with toppings including Fresh Pico De Gallo, Guacamole, Fresh Cilantro, Pineapple and Chipotle Crema Radishes. Meanwhile, everyone came back for seconds of our famous Philly Cheese Steaks.
The bride and groom loved the elegant Charcuterie, with an Assorted Selection of Pitted Olives & Stuffed Genoa Salami, Imported Ham & Cubed Cheese, Spicy Mustard and Italian Breads & Rolls.
This spread kept everyone nice and full until it was time for the grand reveal! All tent walls opened up, and guests were welcomed to a picturesque set up that could top the Pinterest boards.
They were greeted with plates of Steak House Salad as the first course. This dish included Iceberg Lettuce Half with Diced Caramelized Onions, Pancetta, Crumbled Blue Cheese & Italian Dressing. We had vegan options available too, making sure there was something for everyone!
We had over five different entree options, including two specially made orders for the bride and groom. The bride enjoyed a Chili Verde while the groom had a Filet & 12oz Lobster Tail with Sweet Potato Wedges. We packed an additional to-go box for both so they could enjoy more delicious food after the festivities!
Entree favorites included the Grilled Center Cut Filet Topped with a Brandy Demi-Glace and Served with Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans & Carrots and the Atlantic Salmon Baked and Stuffed with Crab Imperial Infused with Lemon & Garlic Butter, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans & Carrots.
The little ones munched away at Panko Crusted Chicken Tenders with Honey Mustard, Vegetables & Tater Tots, which practically disappeared before our eyes!
After dinner, a mariachi band came out and gave a very entertaining performance. Guests hit the dance floor and worked up an appetite just in time for the cake cutting ceremony!
Ensuring everyone satisfied their sweet tooth, we opened up the Sundae Bar. Bowls were filled with Hand Spun Vanilla & Chocolate Ice Creams Served with a variety of toppings including Chopped Walnuts, Whipped Cream, Toasted Coconut, Drunken Bananas Sprinkles and more.
Ending the evening on a high note, the beautiful couple received a sparkler send-off, and it was truly picture perfect!
