Emily and Keenan
Keenan and I met in Baltimore while I was in graduate school and he was teaching there. We began dating in January of 2015. We soon realized that we truly complimented one another – he is a very charismatic, outgoing person, and I’m more easy-going and reserved. Keenan asked me to marry him on the beach in Hilton Head, SC. And so the search for a venue for the perfect reception began!
We started calling around to set up appointments at several venues, and we had a few lined up one Saturday. Christina had called me the night prior to set up an appointment so we scheduled it for the following week. Drexelbrook was on the way to one of the other venues, so we drove by Drexelbrook (not realizing there was someone actually in the security stand). We pulled in and Fred greeted us in the sweetest, most full-of-life way that he instantly starting drawing us to Drexelbrook. He radioed Christina, who fit us into her already full day without one single complaint, so we did not have to drive all the way up from Delaware the following weekend.
There was no question about it that Drexelbrook was our dream venue for our reception. The prices were reasonable, the staff were amazing, and the venue is absolutely stunning.
As she started us on the tour of Drexelbrook, Keenan could tell that I had made up my mind. Right then, he knew I was done looking…and he agreed. There was no question about it that Drexelbrook was our dream venue for our reception. A week later, Keenan and I toured Drexelbrook again with our parents. Both of our parents agreed that it was indeed the perfect venue for us. We put our deposit down that day because we were NOT going to pass up the chance for our dream wedding. The prices were reasonable, the staff were amazing, and the venue is absolutely stunning.
Throughout the entire planning process, Christina made herself available to me for any question I had. She followed through with every single thing she said she would and she made sure everything was perfect down to the minute details. She truly is one of a kind and we are so sad we will not be working with her anymore. She made wedding planning fun, personal, and stress-free. Even when there were a few hiccups, Drexelbrook more than accommodated us and made sure everything was taken care of.
Fast forward to September 30, 2017. We had requested for Fred to be the attendant at the security station to ensure our guests were welcomed by a happy, smiling, warm, friendly person from the start. We were then greeted by Christina (which I was SO happy to see and glad she could be there) and Bill. Bill was absolutely amazing with my family, Keenan’s family, and our bridal party and guests. Anything we needed, he made sure it was done. The decorations for the ballroom and the cocktail hour were more than we ever could have imagined. It was truly our dream wedding come true. Two months later, our guests are still raving about the amount and quality food, the beauty of the building, the fabulous staff, and the overall experience they had at Drexelbrook. They said it was one of the classiest, most well-put together weddings they had ever been to, and we have Drexelbrook to thank for that.
Drexelbrook, thank you so much for everything and for incorporating our ideas into one of the most beautiful, fun, and memorable receptions we could’ve ever imagined. Keenan and I truly appreciate each and every one of you and all of your hard work to make our big day so special. You truly take pride in what you do and it shows!
PS- if you have the chance to do the Dessert room, DO IT. Our guests LOVED it.
