Curating The Perfect Wedding Menu To Leave A Lasting Impression
Weddings are all about celebrating the love between you and your partner. When couples plan for their big day, there’s another goal in mind: making memories that will last a lifetime for them and their guests!
To throw a wedding that will have your guests talking for years to come, the details matter. One thing that always makes for a great party is the food!
Amber and Bill took that to heart when they were planning for their wedding day, and they contacted Drexelbrook Catering & Special Event Center to provide a delicious wedding menu after hearing about our award-winning chefs. Our team made sure the carefully curated menu would make a lasting impression.
Introducing The Hors D’oeuvres In Style
After the beautiful couple said their “I Do’s”, everyone was led to the South Lobby adorned in white flowers for cocktail hour. They were greeted to a gorgeous spread of Hors D’oeuvres presented in style. In between the chatters and mingles, guests made their way to the stationed Hors D’oeuvres, which included a Slider Station, a Porchetta Station and the very popular Antipasti.
The Antipasti platter included Sliced Prosciutto to Order, Served with Fresh Melon Soprasatta, Calabrese Sausage and Salami with Crusty Italian Bread and more yummy delights.
At the Slider Station, guests had the option between Meatball with Warm Fontina Cheese or Pulled Buffalo Chicken with Cool Ranch, both Paired with Our Own Kettle Truffle Chips.
Our wait staff made sure everyone got the five-star treatment and passed around platters of delicious appetizers, which practically disappeared before our eyes! From vegetarian to seafood bites, we made sure there was something for everyone.
The guests absolutely loved the Tuna Tartare in a Savory Petit Cone and the Sea Scallop wrapped in Pepper Bacon. For meat lovers, we had an array of options including Miniature Brioche with Braised Short Rib and Brie Cheese, Batter Dipped Chicken-n-Waffles with Southern Pepper Gravy and more! Vegetarian bites such as Tomato Bruschetta on Crostini and “Phillips Farm” Three Mushroom Tart with Goat Cheese and Leeks were a big hit too.
A Main Course To Remember
Everyone was nice and full before they were led to the ballroom, which was decorated in an elegant red, white and gold theme. Guests sat down to the first course, which was a Traditional Wedding Escarole with Meatballs Served with Warm Rolls and Butter.
Meanwhile, we had something special up our sleeves for the bride and the groom! The beautiful bride enjoyed a delicious Chicken Piccata while the groom indulged in a Duet of Short Rib & Salmon with Mustard Maple Glaze.
After the best man delivered a heartwarming toast, it was time for dinner! The Chicken Piccata, featuring Sauteed Boneless Breast with Lemon, Capers, Parsley and White Wine was a crowd favorite. Another crowd hit included the Beef Short Rib, Slow Braised and finished with a Seasonal Ale Reduction, Served with Crispy Onion Straws, Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes & Green Beans.
Once the plates were cleared, everyone made their way to the dance floor and witnessed a beautiful surprise dance between with the groom and his grandmother. This was followed by a lot of dancing, and guests worked up an appetite just in time for the cake cutting ceremony!
Sweet Treats To End The Night
A gorgeous, eye-catching cake courtesy of our friends from Sophisticakes was brought out. As pieces of cake were being passed around, we opened our famous Drexelbrook Signature Sundae Bar. Bowls were being filled with scoops of Hand-Spun Vanilla and Chocolate Ice Creams plus Ciao Bello Mango Sorbet with topping options including Hot Fudge and Strawberry Sauces, Multiple Candy Toppings, and Many more “Sweet Sensations”.
As the picture-perfect wedding came to a close, everyone left with a smile on their faces and their bellies full.
Our team had a blast designing this inspired menu for Amber and Bill’s big day! Congratulations to the beautiful couple, it was an honor to be a part of their special day.
